THANKS to everyone who left a comment on my previous post about the morels I found in my yard. They were indeed morels; I asked some friends who are veteran mushroom hunters, researched online just to be sure, and double checked my find (Attached head? Check! Hollow stem? Check!).
I ended up halving the shrooms and broiling them (an idea I got from Angela's Food Love). I ate them for lunch on Thursday atop a bowl of herbed risotto. Delish!
